Pros

The actual work that was conducted day by day was interesting, and you were able to apply engineering skill sets.

Cons

The management was awful. During my review, my manager asked me for feedback on him and I suggested assisting me with concepts that I lacked by addressing them in my weekly meeting then we could have a discussion about it after I did some research on the topic. He turned it around and basically insisted that I need to try more and he didn't see the point in the exercise.

Great for a long and interesting career

Pros

Great CEO Great co-workers you can depend on in the office and have fun with outside Flexible working leading to good work/life balance Travelled the world for work Moved to other countries within the Company Interesting work as the Company is the leader in a very interesting industry Company is actively striving to improve the life of employees, took rapid action during Covid 19 to protect people, improves training, provides professional external care for mental health and arranges and pays for outside non-work activities Actively surveys all staff anonymously for opinions and makes improvements This company still talks about jobs for life Company takes the long term view in a very cyclical business so there are not redundancies when there is an industry downturn which is unusual in this area

Cons

The oil and gas business is not for the faint of heart. You will have to work hard and be resilient There have been some growing pains as the Company has expanded and some improvements are still ongoing.
