Pros

As long as you punch the clock, you'll have a job forever, no matter what value you provide

Cons

Government oversight has become so suffocating, that very little innovation occurs anymore. Multi year pay freezes mean you make less than the industry average. No personal electronic devices allowed on site. Like working in a prison. We should all have been in orange jumpsuits. Morale is at an all time low.

Pros

If you're into Navy Nuclear stuff, then you have plenty of opportunity to do neat things. Additionally, you can burn a building down and it will not effect your pay check.

Cons

While some folks are actually rewarded for effort; the majority of the lab is not. Learning/knowing things is discouraged since it will not increase your pay but will increase your work load. Consequently, 90%+ of the lab sit around all day and read books or peruse the internet (if they are lucky enough to have it). BMPC is the living embodiment of the Dilbert comic strip. Pay is substandard; they even go out of their way to tell you how underpaid you are compared to the market average.

Pros

Job Security. Would recommend to anyone with no education or limited education as you will make far more here than anywhere else in Idaho if not the country. About average for professionals as a starting salary but raises are below average so you go downhill fast.

Cons

Horrible culture, long drive, gone from home 12 hours/day, hard to feel like you get anything done due to all the regulations/requirements, company is more about pointing out the bad than ever acknowledging the positives. Workers with little to no education get paid more than engineers and scientists.
