Pros

I met some of the best people here! Including former CEO Jeff Bray. Jeff is why I made medquest my home away from home for 6 of my 9 years there. He encouraged you to not only be better but helped you reach your goals when you applied yourself. He was personal and willing to take on even the “lesser” work, with any employee. That’s the kind of thing that keeps employees. One of the most humble men I’ve met and it was an honor to work for him. The shipping team alone handles business! They are the most reliable team there! It’s never on them if your package doesn’t make it by the allotted time trust me. UPS is their shipping downfall. Ever since they made the switch from FedEx. PCS leadership has always been solid and reliable when working with them, they can only do so much to find your package that the carrier lost, again it’s not on them, once a package has left the building it is no longer in there hands. Pros? Some of the best people I know work here. The people in the medquest building make it a family. There will always be bad experiences based on how one handles themselves there. Your attitude and your dedication to your job, even on the hard days make your experience there. I was always positive about my experience with who I worked with closely until now. You don’t work weekends if you’re not a tech.

Cons

Belmar took over. Belmar has such horrible insurance there are pharmacists that work there that could only afford to put themselves and a child on it having to leave their spouse to get there own. Belmar has turned a small company into a rotating door for so many good former employees. They continue to drive home numbers over quality like Medquest WAS about under Jeff Brays vision. All in the Belmar image. They don’t care about the employees. They don’t let go of problems in areas that continue to be problems and are willing to sacrifice the good employees to continue to “succeed” with lesser performance in pursuit of the consumers money. They don’t listen to senior employees/management when they suggest big changes in the way a small company uses better services in the area over Belmars “trusted” service in another geographical location is beyond my comprehension. The business continues to hear negativity towards the new shipping service/carrier yet continues to not care about the patients feedback. Belmar has changed so many things there the system there crashes because the services they continue to use again are for profit over quality. It hinders the flow and quality of the service they provide. Biggest cons is being forced out of a job I took pride in, loved and was good at. And losing good people I loved working with.

Pros

There are snacks in the breakroom

Cons

The management here is the worst I've ever worked for. If you need to call out due to an illness, they'll make you feel guilty and pressure you to come in. If you have a problem with management, you'll be branded as someone who rocks the boat the whole time you're there, and it'll just make things a lot worse. If you make the production supervisors mad for any reason, your schedule will be terrible out of retaliation, and if you ever need anything done or have any feedback you will only get excuses and arguments. Everyone knows this and all have the same sentiment that management is unprofessional, difficult to work with, immature and inadequate, yet nothing is ever done and has been the reason why so many people have quit. Rumors run rampant here. It's a small company in close quarters, so anything and everything you say will be turned, twisted and spread. The culture is so toxic that it makes you anxious to come in, wondering who is talking behind your back and who you can trust. This company will try it's hardest to keep from paying it's employees. They'll make you come in during the worst storm of the year, they'll promise you a pay raise or promotion only for it to be taken away as soon as it's your turn etc. The turnover rate here is INSANE. As soon as you get to know someone's name, they're gone.

Pros

The only good thing about working here was the team lunches every week.

Cons

One of the largest cons is that everyone was overworked. People constantly worked overtime. While it was never outright said it often felt like we had to stay and work overtime. While I understood many of the rules considering you deal with a controlled substance here there were many rules that I found to be ridiculous. And it often felt that extra rules were given to front office techs. I personally did not feel as though I could ever come forward and be honest if I had problems or feedback for fear of being treated differently. Communication often was lacking. The information wouldn't be told to us or only to selective people. There were also times when you were told you did something incorrectly but the time was rarely taken to explain to you and work with you to fix what you did wrong. This could make it hard to improve and move up. There were selective with time off. There were multiple times where myself or coworkers would request time off for appointments but would be denied because of there wouldn't be enough staff even if you were only leaving for the last 1 or 2 hours. Certian manager were micromanagers which was frustrating and added to the toxicity of the workplace. I often felt like very clear favoritism was shown. People were treated nicer or not micromanaged as much. Overall I am a fairly happy person but during my time working here especially near the end of the time here my mental health was suffering. For the little amount we got paid and for all that was expected of us and the mental toll it was not worth it.
