Pros

I've always stayed for years at my previous employers but Bitdefender managed to go above and beyond. Started more than a decade in Enterprise support and managed to move to several roles until settled into a customer-facing engineering role which I really love. There are tons of opportunities in the company so even if you start in an entry-level position you, you can move easily to other departments and roles. The company has offices all across the globe and you will work with talented people from AUS/NZ, Romania, Italy, France, Germany, the UK, Spain, the US, and Latin America. You will have the opportunity to meet people from other offices live during SkOs or during on-site events. Bitdefender secures the largest organizations on the planet so you will be engaged to come up with solutions for different environments and platforms while having access to the latest technologies. Management teams and C Level folks are always accessible and eager to help; just start the conversation.

Cons

Depending on your role, you might need to help a customer during non-business hours as Bitdefender provides and offers cybersecurity for large organizations. This can happen during bank holidays or weekends.

Pros

Responsive leadership. Great environment focused on helping everyone grow and learn. Open to input from anyone in the business on how to improve their product. Pays for industry training. Mid-level management is very flexible when it comes to work/life balance needs. The compensation is, at a minimum, on par with the industry standard but, seems to be slightly above average. Their is an industry-wide lack of diversity in cybersecurity however, Bitdefender has been pretty cognizant of that fact and has invested time and energy into what they can do about it.

Cons

Since the business is headquartered in Romania and has only really been hiring operations personnel in the US for the last couple of years, it can sometimes be difficult to get in contact with personnel at the HQ for issue resolution (This is currently being addressed and is slowly improving). The company provides average supplemental benefits for the industry, but could improve things like their 401k employer contributions.
