Pros
They pay their adjunct faculty better than any other community college in the area. The teachers of the natural sciences are all pretty good. The students at the Watsonville center are very good.
Cons
The administrators have no respect for the faculty's time; they waste it with hours of pointless meetings that you are forced to attend. Overall enrollment is falling, and the college is about to lose a lot of funding as a result. At the same time, there are not enough classes being offered in the natural sciences to meet student demand and the administrators refuse to hire enough teachers (recently they were given funding for 8 full time faculty positions, and only hired 2 actual faculty members, the other six were counselors). They are just embarassingly inept.
