Ol' boy network becomes ol' girl network

Pros

Any person of any age can get low-cost education and career assistance.

Cons

Changeover in management is major step backwards. Too many people in authority are new to position or school and are repeating mistakes of past-- certainly not learning from history. Good Ol Boy network is replaced by Good Ol Girl network. Hiring is based on politics and favors owed. Very discouraging to be on outside of the clique.

Pros

Really can't say anything positive except that the majority of the employees are pleasant.

Cons

The good ole boy network is alive and kicking at CFCC! If you run into a problem with your Supervisor you have no recourse because their Supervisor will not be impartial and fair. If you want to appeal a decision the College CEO hand picks who he/she wants to be on the review board which means you're out of luck because they don't want to lose their jobs and will do what the CEO wants them to do!

Pros

Steady paycheck and predictable benefits.

Cons

Inept executive team, politicized board of trustees, inconsistent application of policies. If you are friends with someone on the executive team you get special treatment, otherwise you are just a number and no one cares about you.
