Nice people to work with, unfortunataly the best ones have left or are in the process.

Cons

The new Owner is nuts and cheap. He takes away benefits and then tells the company how great he is. He can't see the turth and does not care about ompany culture.

Pros

Was a good place to work - good culture, cohesive team, good work/life balance. Not the highest salary, but generous PTO and open atmosphere.

Cons

Since new owners took over, the company is a shell of what it was. Reduced PTO, no raises, jobs moving overseas. Had to fight to have 401k, no matching. Many core people leaving through layoffs or finding new jobs.

Pros

They were a stable company that was not going out of business. The building is air conditioned for summer and heated in the winter.

Cons

They fired me because I had a disability that they knew of. They were very resistant to change. I had to fight tooth and nail to make improvements. I wrote a program that cut down time on a very common procedure from 30-45 minutes down to less than a minute. They finally adopted the program but showed no appreciation for it let alone pay me for it. The same thing happened when I spent hundreds of hours building a great Knowledge base server that cost them less than $50 (the computer was very old). The only complements I got for these projects were from customers and co=workers Instead of spending money for making Cougar Mountain a better place to work for, they spend money on good lawyers to fight employees and customers.
