Pros
The pay is decent, nothing spectacular The work-life balance is very good, you can always take a break if you need it, unless you're in a meeting obviously The expectations from leaders are reasonable, if you're able to use the platforms of your choosing (although see below for why that doesn't happen) The people around are usually very helpful, but can sometimes provide mediocre advice or solutions, and have a limited ability to help through no fault of their own.
Cons
Most often the platforms are imposed (mostly tools from Microsoft that are paid for at a global level, such as the power platform), which can heavily impact time to market of developed projects. There can be lots of frustration due to responsibilities that impact your productivity over which you have no control, as they are held back by dependencies on api development teams, or approval processes, or resource allocation for certain projects.
