Pros
Burkert is one of the best places that I have in my career. The benefits are way better than any company that I have been at. The company is currently growing and you can see some security for the future. Some of the people are great to work with and are willing to help each other out when there is a need. There are some advancements available but you must show some initiative.
Cons
Just as any other organization, Burkert has it's problems too. One is that there are many employees who think they are entitled. Taking extra long breaks, not punching in and out when they should, taking advantage of the "free" or "non-structured" work environment. Many do this by walking around and making small talk with others throughout the day, while some are so busy they can't keep up with their day to day business. The frustrating thing is that this is seen and talked about throughout the organization and management doesn't put things in place to reel this attitude in before it becomes a bigger problem. Those who are working hard and making up for those who are walking around and talking are under appreciated and their work goes unrecognized. When it comes to pay raises only a cost of living wage is given and is taking like a slap in the face. Especially when those who are working twice as hard are putting in the extra hours to accommodate the unnecessary urgency of the sales group. Even more frustrating is that you hear rumors of certain individuals who get favoritism and they are the worst offenders.
