Pros

Market-leading, highly respected prestige publishers of beautiful, high-quality, state-of-the-art magazine properties. Salespeople get outstanding marketing and sales materials to work with and the marketing groups are brilliant at developing innovative partnership programs with clients. Very creative company with many smart, talented people.

Cons

Extremely demanding, elitist corporate culture and highly politicized environment. You can do excellent work and still have a very hard time here if you don't navigate the politics and your management successfully. Publishers and editors tend to be flamboyant, ego-driven types very hard to work with and sometimes even abusive. Very difficult, stressful environment.

Pros

You’re wealthy enough to be relaxed, but not wealthy enough to be careless.

Cons

but NYC’s costs prevent true luxury unless income is much higher.

Pros

Great to be in proximity to such amazing brands like Vogue, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker

Cons

Pay is absolutely criminal unless you're "bonus eligible." Another billion dollar company crying poverty. Also, absolutely zero possibility of advancement.
