Pros

Great benefits, great coworkers, good facilities. Tuition reimbursement, great vacation accrual, ability to move internally. The best part about working at Memorial Sloan Kettering is that you are contributing to a greater good. Although it is stressful at times - at the end of the day, I felt that my work was truly meaningful. There are great people that work here and are very supportive. It varies by department, but overall I've had a positive experience here. Working on the patient side of things is stressful but rewarding.

Cons

It depends on department. POAs are often in extremely stressful situations and do not get paid nearly as much as they should. They also don't have a clear career ladder and managers should assist in finding and promoting growth within MSK. Department can lack organization or support which is also an issue, specifically the research side.

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
