Pros

The only pro for St Mary's is that it's a great place for young RN's to get their first job.

Cons

St Mary's at one time was a good place to work (before CHE/TH took over). The CEO/CFO have left in the last 12 months and current/interim leadership is worthless. If you want a position that offers growth, look at other employers. In addition, wages at SMH are well below national average across the whole hospital. The best thing for morale at the hospital would be a buyout. Emory was looking at the hospital, but backed out. Everyone was hoping that acquisition would've happened. Corporate pushes too much nonsense and the executives don't have enough brass to stand up for what's right (and the people).

Pros

Great team work, most doctors treat nurses with respect

Cons

Politics can make it difficult at times, not much room for career advancement within the system unless willing to travel or relocate. Lots of turnover from leadership

Pros

Decent pay rates for nurses, incentives, differentials. Great co-workers. Loved my manager & admins there, believe it or not!

Cons

Well they run it like a business, to make a profit and they will quickly eliminate/change what- or whom-ever they need to make keep the cash flowing. Sometimes, (or at least it's how it looks to me), they do it at the expense of reducing patient resources & access to care in rural areas.
