Pros

I can’t think of any Pro’s.

Cons

GCE owns GCU so you work as a counselor doing 5 jobs but getting paid for one. The work load is not realistic at all. They want you to make 150 calls a week, do 12 in person events with only a $500 budget, enroll 3 students a month(meaning do all their financial aid, documentation, enrollment and educating the students on how to do assignments and deadlines), also contact hot, warm, and cold leads, have team meetings twice a week, and 1:1 with manager. I. Addition to all that, you must gain 100+ new leads a month. You are constantly lead by fear. It is a Christian university but run by unethical people and micromanaged beyond belief. I know MANY people who have complained to HR and nothing changes. The TEXAS Region is awful. The turnover is insane. Save yourself the misery and go somewhere else to work. Life is too short for this type of job. Your family will thank you for NOT accepting a job here! Not worth the toll it takes on you and your family!

Absolutely TOXIC!

Pros

Absolutely nothing. This place is just awful.

Cons

This place needs to clean house. You have managers who are absolutely abusive to their teams. Managers will talk down to team members, they will send threatening emails and they will talk negatively to team members who are working hard day in and day out. Managers never praise their team and many good employees leave because it is such a toxic environment. Also, this place loves to take advantage of their employees by adding more to employees already full plates. The job description that is provided is not at all accurate. Be prepared to do the job of 3 people for the same salary while managers just criticize everything you do. Managers do not offer any support and you are basically left on your own. No one here is a team player. No one cares about the students. This place is just toxic.

Pros

Remote, benefits, pay, help support mission of GCU.

Cons

GCU is missional, GCE is the money machine. Burn their employees to the ground and don't care. They lose so many good people and act like they care about their employees. If you don't produce, you are "disposable and put on cap". So much pressure to perform. Been here for years and I am the most unhealthy mentally and physically than I have been in my whole life. Do not work here as it is a toxic work environment masked with high pay and pretend smiles. Only "fun" for employees is for those who live in AZ and we just watch them have fun at their on campus only events. If you are 30 yrs old and younger you are favored more than tenured older employees. So wrong.
