Good Facility for Public Learning, Bad Environment for Part Time Employees due to Bureaucracy

Consistent schedule, good system for managing pay records/benefits where applicable, minimal travel
Cons
Fees for training/credentials/drug screenings/fingerprinting out of the employee's pocket, corrupt board that disposes of employees when financially inconvenient, unprofessional communication styles when laying off an employee. This company had a "part time" (30 hours a week) position that they only kept from technically being full time (35 hours a week) by not paying the 5 hours of lunch taken each week. This is dishonest and wrong when the employees part time status prevented them being paid for holidays, snow days, or time away sick, when they had just as much work to do as full time employees. They lay off employees that complain about these things and sweep the issue under the rug. This is a good place for students to learn but not a good place for a casual job in education unless you are doing something straightforward or cut-and-dry like a full time teaching assistant. Beware of part time! They will not have your back.
