Cons
In my limited time so far at Ocean Surveys, I do not have many cons to working here. That being said, if you are looking for a rigid corporate structure with a vast array of job titles, this isn't the place for you. In my experience, working at Ocean Surveys comes down to what you make of it.
Excellent benefits, 401K and profit sharing. Great people to work with. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t learn something new or help someone solve a problem. Updated modern survey platforms, equipment, and software. Rewarded for working independently and taking pride in your work. Very flexible schedule during the off-season. Many of the staff have made a career of working at OSI.
Cons
Long hours during the survey season. Lots of time on the road away from home.
