Pros

Pay was fair and benefits were solid. Minimal PTO for customer service but you receive guaranteed overtime pay and the same dog perks as other employees, including bringing a dog to the office. Office was nice, amazing location with some great free snacks and there were always dogs to pet.

Cons

Work is exhausting. Very busy, taking calls and emails simultaneously without great breaks. Team was pretty awful. There was bullying from other customer service colleagues from day one, and management never stepped in to handle that or to take escalated phone calls. Performance was based off average call time, which was extremely frustrating because it did not benefit the customer, and customer service was the only in-office team that felt chained to the desk and phones all day long. I was laid off due to budget cuts for COVID-19 and was told they would contact me if my job became available again. I was never contacted but heard that more were hired for my job as soon as one month after I was let go. I was saddened by this news and would have taken the job back if it had been offered to me, due to financial need.

Pros

When I think about Ollie, what stands out most is how genuinely passionate people are about our mission. You can feel it in every meeting, every brainstorm, and every customer interaction—we’re all here because we care deeply about improving the lives of dogs and their humans. We work hard and expectations are high, but it’s never at the expense of one another. Wins are celebrated across teams, and there’s a real culture of support and collaboration. At Ollie, you are surrounded by others who take pride in their work, but also root for each other & the success of the business.

Cons

Because Ollie is growing quickly, things can move fast and priorities can shift quickly in accordance with that growth. It’s an exciting environment, but one that requires flexibility. People here tend to wear multiple hats—which creates great opportunities for growth, but can also mean juggling different things and needing to be selective about your priorities. It’s a place that rewards self-starters who thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment!
