The issues at hand extend beyond mere isolated incidents; they encompass significant operational and cultural challenges that must be addressed. Within this workplace, there is a disturbing presence of ableism and racism, creating a hostile environment for many. Moreover, the absence of a structured onboarding process and comprehensive training only exacerbates the existing problems. It leaves employees ill-prepared to navigate the complexities of the organization and contribute effectively. Perhaps most concerning is the pervasive toxic hierarchy, perpetuated by leadership that often demonstrates incompetence. This not only stifles innovation and growth but also contributes to an atmosphere of disillusionment and frustration among the workforce.

If you are not cliquish, you will be relegated to a cubicle where you will not be giga chance to network, will not get credit for your work, and will have to fight against your supervisor’s attempts to prevent you from promoting. Conversations are always from a Caucasian perspective, and while encouraged to speak of health equity and institutionalized racism- the fact is it’s alive and well at OHA. Any signs of cultural identity will make you a mgmt problem asap. No one smiles, no one talks to you- unless you’re in the clique. Think I’m exaggerating??? You’ve been warned.
