Pros

Let's start with the positives- Great benefits including free gym privileges on site, a somewhat good illusion of a professional environment.

Cons

Let's start with the positives- Great benefits including free gym privileges on site, a somewhat good illusion of a professional environment. Normally, I only give positive reviews. I find it to be a waste of my good energy to give negative ratings. However, with this department I feel it is important for other potential employees to know about the office politics. Tread lightly! The judgment board is the final decision maker on your continued employment here. Training is unorganized so unless you are LIKED by all department staff, your time here will be unexpectedly short. Absolutely NO consideration is taking in you. You will not be asked how things are going, if there is something you would like to go over, or if you are confident with the duties you are hired to perform. Under No Circumstance do I recommend asking for an explanation or reason for their conclusion of you being "NOT THE RIGHT FIT”. The answer will be some lame rehearsed reflection of a line thrown in your initially interview. Example: You are looking for more than we have to offer. LOL- An A+ on creative ways to throw out the unwanted. It really should be unlawful and considered unprofessional to terminate an employee without a given a valid reason or reasonable explanation. Other than that, Good Luck and remember to Tread Lightly, You WILL be told one thing and they WILL expect another in no time at all.

Pros

Shifts are during the day, not too early or too late. Only have to work one weekend day, e/o weekend. Usually get lunch, Occasional lunch-ins. Good benefits.

Cons

Low pay. Don't use your assessment skills much on the floor besides basics unless you are trained for triage, fast paced, travel to different locations on a whim, particular arrogant and condescending doctors. Handful of workshy staff.
