Pros

Paycheck is on time, 401k, Paid vacation and they have free water.

Cons

And this is where the fun stuff happens...here we go. Major favoritism with employees, All CSRs show up late except techs and nothing is done....when techs make a mistake all hell breaks loose. Not ONE shred of training, it's your hired!...now get to work and figure it out yourself. Upper management asks us to give feedback but not once in the years that I've been working at Pine has one thing changed. Technicians are treated like dirt, and if you see any review on here saying something like, " this is a job for people who put their best foot forward. People who are not hard working and driven will not be able to keep up in this fast paced environment".....This is obviously laughable coming from some Manager patting him/herself on the back trying to win brownie points who would just as quick most likely throw their tech under the bus to save themselves. You have to understand that the Techs.....are fed up with the ridiculing, mistreating, talking down to, under payed, over worked, over looked and not appreciated. Not ONE time have i heard from my manager, " Hey good job today." no not once.....all i hear is every thing i do is never enough.

Pros

You work you get paid. I guess that's the only pro.

Cons

Where do I begin? As you read the beginning portion of this, I may sound like a petty and disgruntled employee. However, if you were subjected to an unethical and degrading work environment, you'd sound like this too. Pine is run by two brothers, who have no idea what leadership looks like. They know dictatorship, and micro manage like pros. They have hired a pack of managers and executives including the majority of the Human Resources Department to protect them and mirror them, in all their unprofessional and arrogant glory. Pine is a terrible place to work for the following reasons: There is no training: You start at Pine feeling like it's going to be a good place to work. Then you quickly learn that there is no training and you're expected to somehow produce without any product knowledge. The owners brag about how they did this 20 years ago all alone but they can't even answer simple work questions now. They make all their employees feel stupid if they make a mistake, but if they'd roll up their sleeves for once they'd most likely not meet their own standards. Management is terrible, here’s why: This is a “do as I say” company, not a “do as I do” company. The owners and HR have meetings about respect; yet each meeting I’ve ever had has been filled with profanity and disrespectful slurs, and full of implications that the team is stupid and isn’t doing their job correctly. As an employee, you will become used to being spoken to like you are stupid. Unless you are a direct hand in making the company big money, and sometimes that doesn’t even help. The verbal abuse and mind games you will experience from management is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Be prepared to never feel like you never have job security. They treat you, and on occasion tell you, that you are disposable as an employee. The higher up’s at Pine does what they can hide their wrongdoings at all times, with the customers and/or employees. The owners have even tried to get these Glassdoor reviews taken down as they “make the company look bad,” instead of really reading them and understanding that there could be something they can learn. When the owners or the owner’s friends/family becomes involved in any type of work related issue, no standard employee stands a winning chance. The owners will literally belittle you if you’re talking while working, look like you’re even remotely enjoying your job, or cause them any slight accidental inconvenience. However, the owners will NOT belittle you if they 1) find you attractive 2) you make tons of money for Pine 3) if you worship them and pretend like you actually like them. HUMAN RESOURCES is a joke: At Pine, HR is there to clean up the higher up’s (or their own) messes. HR rarely sees daylight, as they stay in their office 90% of the time or behind the closed doors of the owners. Preferential treatment is given for family and friends, and they are a lot of them working here. Some of which are superior to the other, and preferential treatment occurs often. Whether it be employees are constantly getting spoon fed orders because they’re family with the manager(s), or whether an employee doesn’t get in trouble because the owner/management is family or a friend, its happening everyday here. And for those people who show up to work every day and really try, it’s insulting. I do not know how the owners/managers sleep at night. So much WRONG goes on here and no one seems to care. When an employee gets hired, everyone jokes about how long they will last. When an employee gets a new job, everyone begins to congratulate and literally cheer as though Pine was something to run from. This is the honest truth. Work here at your own risk.

Thank you for the review. Pine was founded on the belief that the contribution of our team members make us a stronger company and better able to deliver service to our customers. We ask for input from across the organization and have made changes based on suggestions to improve. We are not a perfect company, but we do strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected and comfortable expressing their ideas. I invite you to share you concerns with me directly. Horrible company

Pros

The only pro is that the doors are unlocked everyday when I get to work. Paycheck clears biweekly, and the vending machines work most of the time.

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever encountered. The HR department is terrible. Isn't HR supposed to support the employee? Not in this case. HR not only does not support the staff but neither come out of there offices to realize how poorly the employees are treated. The company is completely micro managed. Yes this is a family owned business, that basically means the 2 brothers, and the sister run this company passing the buck to other parties rather than learning how to do anything themselves. Worst collection practices, that's probably why customers continue to do business with Pine. All you have to do is dispute a bill and it will be credited.
