Pros

There are some great people doing the work in laboratories and cubicles. The science can be wonderful.

Cons

Management treats employees as the enemy. HR stabs workers in the back. Benefits are abysmal. The better you are, the more they will squeeze every cent of value out of you, until you are empty.

Having worked at a few companies in this industry it is shocking how awful things are at Q2. Leadership burries their head in the sand when issues are pointed out, then blames its employees when it can no longer be ignored. From nepotism at the highest levels to sheer neglect and incompetence towards daily processes, the frustration employees face is endless. There is no clear direction if you are new and no support if you are seasoned. You will be stressed, you will be overwhelmed, and if you try and work to improve things you will be ignored or worse.

Location. Small town. Outdoor recreation. Ivy League college town. Good people/ colleagues, but...

Cons

One word: Don’t. This company will destroy your life and kill your career in every aspect. Management has zero respect for employees’ time or career growth. They will extract everything and leave you with nothing. Management has zero ethics. Lying is the norm. Revolving door in many functional groups. They are permanently looking for new employees. Very high turnover.
