      Pros

      Good management with no micromanagement. Competitive salary and bonuses. Flexible working hours.

      Cons

      Too many layers of bureaucracy due to it being a very large company. Have to work off hours due to the global teams.

      Pros

      Fast moving, interesting work. Lots of leading-edge technology in the database realm. Great resources, training, contracted vendor experts (dedicated support engineers). Truly a world class IT organization. Really excellent place to grow your skills. Good salary and benefits. Really smart people and good managers at the lower end. Treated me very, very well for 15 years until I got laid off and then they treaded me even better in the transition out. No complaints. Just sad to go.

      Cons

      Unfortunately as with all companies moving from the entrepreneurial phase to older, more established phase, some bureaucracy is creeping in. Lot's of night and weekend work. But then they were always very fair in terms of compensation and adjustments of work time and location. Company is struggling in the marketplace right now. Hence the RIF that I was caught up in.
