Pros

Leadership team is amazing and direction tricked down effectively. The science team is very effective at getting the best results even if we had to work harder for short bursts. The feeling of accomplishment is great and shared by the whole team

Cons

The past is fast and the scale is tremendous; but this really isn’t a con per se when you’re dealing with species on the brink of extinction;)

Pros

Team members have great personalities and managers challenge you to be more responsible for your work. Great work culture.

Cons

Less open to developing new team members. Intimidation and fear used by managers to force team members to improve rather than a combination of these factors and well intentioned teaching or encouragement.

Great non-profit with growing pains

Pros

excellent benefits. a lot of sick leave. vacation was standard 2 weeks/year. great position if you're starting out your career in biology. flexible schedule and occasional WFH was acceptable. really meaningful work.

Cons

it was growing fast while i was there and at times i felt under-valued and stressed out by the workload. a lot of travel was expected, and it can lead to burn out. promotions and moving up felt unattainable.
