Pros
The health/dental/vision benefits are amazing. All holidays are paid and accumulation of annual and sick time is calculated on a monthly basis. Any type of governmental employment is surely a healthy resume-booster.
Cons
There are several people who have been employed for numerous years and are stuck in their ways. There is not a lot of room for advancement because more tenured employees tend to stick around and not allow younger individuals to progress. The basis upon whether you get a job or not is based heavily on who exactly you know in the company and not so much upon ability or education. Many of the processes are antiquated and need to be updated.
