Pros

* lots of different types of software development happening here. Shoulder to shoulder with experts in physical modeling, numerical simulation, beautiful web apps, firmware… * everyone is very smart and dedicated * company is doing well

Cons

* we’re busy, so we don’t spend as much time learning from colleagues as we could * lots of maritime lingo to learn * balancing tech debt with customer needs can be challenging * comp is not as high as at AI darlings

Pros

The company and the mission to increase awareness of how climate change is impacting the ocean is great. There are some really smart scientists and engineers working there towards this mission.

Cons

The management team, and particularly the CEO are very challenging to work for. They believe everyone should prioritize work, even at the expense of your mental health / child care obligations.
