Pros

Pros does not apply @ Sofbang..

Cons

This is the most unorganized company I have ever worked for. There is absolutely no job security what so ever. People are fired or they quit happily. Every thing you read from every one with a negative response is unfortunately true about this company. Work for Sofbang at your own risk.

Shady business practices and no respect for your time

Pros

Ability to work from home sometimes.

Cons

No respect for personal time. Most of management works afternoons, evenings, late nights, and weekends. They expect you to be available whenever they call. There won’t be meetings put on your calendar. You’ll just be called randomly during the day and if you can’t answer right away they kept calling until you’re able to pick up. Sneaky ways to not pay you what you're owed. The original offer outlines pay but also includes a deduction of 5% per paycheck that would later be paid out twice a year IF you met KPIs. If you do not meet these KPIs, you will not receive your full salary for the year. I negotiated to have this removed and to receive my full paycheck every pay period, but it's crazy that I even had to. They don’t explain company policies. It’s a policy that you can’t take paid time off until you actually accrue the time. Ok fine. But no one explains this. So if you have, say, a medical emergency, and they tell you “use your sick time and PTO” what they mean is you’ll be taking an unpaid leave. But they won’t tell you until you get a reduced paycheck and question it. No one would hear sick time and PTO - paid time off benefits for full time employees - and think it’s synonymous with an unpaid leave. Lack of work. I was told there was so much work for me to do but I was given what amounted to a lot of busy work. There was no structure. Just every few days I would be emailed with some assignments. Felt more like an internship than a job for a person with a decade of experience. Take from this what you will. I can only hope this serves as a warning to others who might be better off finding work elsewhere. If you do decide to move forward with employment with Sofbang, do so with both eyes open.
