Pros

- Professional and supportive staff - Large network of great DVMs with varied experience - Flexible work schedule (able to optimize PTO and shift swaps for time off) - Appropriate work load most days (30-45min appointment times) - Fair salary and benefits - Excellent DVM management - Solid corporate support structure

Cons

- Occasional times of excessive case load (doing records from home). Seems to be more related to in depth cases as opposed to over-scheduling. - Nurse call outs and nurse turn-over. I would not say this is more excessive than any other workplaces I have been at, but an overall struggle for the field of veterinary medicine.

Pros

Truly a supportive environment, if you are reasonable with your requests in the face of your own personal level of effort before a personal crisis, management will bend over backwards for you. The expectations are high for doctors, but the environment will allow you to grow if you have the ability to self start and take responsibility. Very fast paced and able to make production if you are able to keep up with the demand, if not that is okay, no penalties from upper management. They expect a reasonable amount of demand from DVMs and if a location doesn't work for you in terms of case load - either too much or too little, they will facilitate you to move to a place that you will be successful at. Any person in upper management is accessible to speak to about any concerns, you literally can text the CEO if needed. CE stipend - unlimited for cost of CE itself, unmatched, I have done multiple highly expensive and career valuable CE opportunities at CSU's TMI. TLDR: Supportive, fast paced, highly demanding for gold standard care and skill level, but fosters a place to grow.

Cons

Corporate environment, very small but can still be a shock for those coming from a non-corporate or private only practice. Similar culture issues to many other veterinary practices, not really their fault and they do try hard to reduce these things, but gossip and issues between upper management and medical staff are inevitable.
