Pros

Employee discount on a variety of shoes, OK benefits, and the commission is good considering the base pay is also rather high.

Cons

This company will use and abuse you! The pay is okay for a pathetic shoe sales job, but the overall atmosphere is horrible! The company is structured as an ESOP, which means it is employee owned. Due to this, all the store and district managers think they're above the law. If you let them, they WILL work you illegal numbers of hours and they WILL NOT pay you for all of the hours you worked. If you don't remind the store manager every week about days you need off, you won't get them off. Another tip: if you want to move up in a company, this is not the company to do so with. They will promise you advancement and tempt you with pay raises and bonuses, but then ask you to move no less than 100 miles away from your home store. The worst part is, they expect you to just pack up and leave for Nowhereville, North Dakota at a moment's notice. The time spent working for this company was the worst professional experience of my life, and I'll never even shop there again. I honestly wish this website would let me give the company zero stars.

No upward mobility unless you're a white man

Pros

Managers and team are great! Benefits are pretty decent and the employee stock is a good perk. The events and collabs they do are fun too.

Cons

Lots of manipulation and gaslighting by upper management. Super sexist policies and expectations. If you want any long term upward mobility as an employee make sure you are are a white man cause that's the only way you'll get anywhere with this company. Women and BIPOC people are consistently passed over for promotions and raises in favor of white men with less experience and capabilities. And when a woman or BIPOC person does finally get the promotion they're bullied out of the company because they're treated so poorly.

Great company and pay

Pros

Great pay depending on position. As an assistant I make right around 40k/year. Full time also receives two retirement accounts after enough time worked. Great option for a long term career Least pushy sales job I've worked. All you do is show the customer the best products to help them with their needs. Opportunity to travel is definitely a plus. Great culture, depending on the manager! Super flexible schedule.

Cons

Vague promises about promotion. Working weekends is a must. Sometimes customers have really stinky feet, but it comes with the territory.
