Pros

- Nice office and location - Perks and benefits are good - Opportunity for travel - Despite the complaints, I personally liked pair programming - Generally a fun environment (snacks, games, events etc...)

Cons

- Lack of experienced leadership - No job security (yearly mass layoffs) - High turnover rate - Projects are scoped arbitrarily, setting them up for failure - People are treated like expendable "resources" Here's the thing about TribalScale – it's all smoke and mirrors! On the surface they seem like an ordinary digital agency that's on par with the likes of Connected, TWG, Rangle etc... but they're not! TribalScale is just a business, with the shell and facade of an agency that wants to "innovate", but in reality they will do whatever it takes to make a buck, even if it means building software that fails to deliver on its promise. It's a shame because they're attracted very talented people, but then as I mentioned above, completely sets them up for failure by overpromising to clients, poorly scoping projects, doing little or no user-validation, and continually makes excuses for cutting corners (if I hear "not for MVP" one more time I will lose it). They are motivated by all the wrong reasons. The TakeOver conference isn't about bringing innovation to the city, its about filling a stage with all the CEO's friends for 8 hours so that TribalScale has content to tweet about for 8 months. Venture Studio is essentially a lottery, rapidly creating as many startups as possible in the hopes that one or two will make it big. This isn't innovation! This is working a system for financial gain. They'll hire 1 remote employee in a city, and then make it seem like they have a whole team and presence there just for the illusion of credibility! I had to create a glassdoor account to write this because I was shocked when they released a podcast with a topic titled "Advice on growing and scaling while maintaining company culture". They have no right to give such advice, as their company culture has completely plummeted due to their irresponsible and unsustainable scaling. They have no shame!

Pros

Besides the decent office location, none

Cons

Should I start at the CEO (Sheetal) yelling at the top of his lungs every chance he gets? He thinks it comes off as being a passionate motivated leader but he actually comes off as a angry child who dropped his ice cream. There's so many other issues with him, the intimate kind that his HR team helps h cover-up. Can't talk about the cons at Tribalscale without talking about Roger Chabra, literally the most useless person there....he begs and prays on good talent to fuel the Venture Capital side of the house, and he'll use/abuse them, taking credit for what others build for him. The attitude of Sheetal and Roger is the biggest deterrent of Tribalscale and is why they're going downhill.... immature dumb children running the company, thinking it's always a party.
