The company is extending the proven science of inertial fusion to commercial deployment by harnessing key technologies powered by the world’s highest-energy laser system. The approach is truly innovative and ingenious, building on decades of development to create the most viable path for bringing commercial fusion energy to the grid. Even better than all of that, the team is made up of some of the kindest and most humble individuals I’ve ever worked with. The work is demanding, with tough deadlines that can push you to your limits and there is no play book for this type of work, so you need to be comfortable working through ambiguity. Additionally, the leadership team is still in the process of learning how to run a rapidly growing company, which can sometimes lead to growing pains.
