Go from being good in sales to a powerhouse

Sales is one of those careers where you need more than ambition to really succeed. You need your name against a product you truly believe in, a company you can stand behind with your shoulders high, and the support to do your best work.

You can have all the qualities of a high-performing, career-accelerating salesperson: tenacity, resilience, a talent for thriving in complexity, a curiosity for innovation, and a relentless drive to keep getting better. But if your talent is to reach its full potential, it needs to be matched by the right opportunity. That's where Sage shines.

Our sales teams help small and medium businesses grow, while accelerating their own careers. We have trusted products, deep market insight and millions of customers who rely on our solutions. Just as importantly, our people are like you; energized by the next win, hungry to exceed expectations and committed to outperforming yesterday's results. This is why we meet them halfway by providing world-class training and a culture of accountability, growth and teamwork that turns their potential into incredible performance, quarter after quarter.

Watch the video above and hear from Luna, one of our top Account Executives. He plays to win. His drive to push past barriers, challenge his own limits and create real value for customers makes him a great example of what high performance looks like at Sage.

You'll also hear from Joy and Steffi, who are proof that there's no single route to success in sales. They joined Sage with their best foot forward and took a bet on themselves. We saw what they could become with the right support, then matched their potential with the resources and opportunities to help them succeed. And they have.

We’ve got roots in Atlanta. Come grow with us

Our flagship North American office recently opened in Atlanta, right next to Ponce City Market.

The space has been designed to drive innovation and collaboration among our colleagues, customers, and partners.

Atlanta has been part of our story for over 25 years. Join us for the next 100 😉.

Make your 9-5 matter for millions of businesses

One of the exceptional benefits of building a sales career at Sage is that it's about so much more than landing a high-profile role. Yes, you'll grow your earnings, collaborate with your colleagues on projects with global reach and accelerate your career. But perhaps most importantly, you'll build a career with purpose; one where you can look back and say, "I directly helped that business grow. I helped that team get paid on time. I helped that customer turn their dreams into reality."

That's what makes sales careers at Sage different. Yes, we build world-class, future-focused technology that helps businesses thrive, and that's pretty exciting, but the real impact belongs to the people behind those businesses. The entrepreneurs taking risks. The business owners creating jobs. The organizations finding new ways to grow. When you help a Sage customer succeed, your impact goes far beyond closing another deal. That's not something you get to be part of just anywhere.

Alisa and Tara know this well. In the video above, you'll hear why they think success in sales at Sage isn't just about hitting targets but about understanding customers on a deeper level to help them solve their biggest headaches. Every day, they spend their 9-5 finding the right solutions to overcome customer challenges, unlock new opportunities and keep businesses moving forward. The value of their work is what fuels them. That's where they find the greatest satisfaction, and you could too.

If you're ready to do some of the best work of your career and make a meaningful impact, stay on this page and continue exploring more about Sage and our open opportunities.

      We're built to win

Anywhere you work, regardless of industry, company size or location, culture is shaped from the top. At Sage, our leaders set a vision that stretches, challenges, excites and empowers. It's ambitious and, at times, a little daunting, but that's what makes it worth pursuing. That’s what keeps us raising the bar.

They set the direction and define the ways of working so that our purpose-driven, ambitious people have a clear understanding of how they're expected to show up every day. Together, we're united by a shared ambition to grow Sage, help our customers succeed and transform our careers. That energy is what makes us winners before we even step onto the sales field.

Our leaders are exactly as they come across in the video above: passionate, supportive and inspiring. They bring people together and make you feel part of something bigger because when you work at Sage, you are. That doesn't just mean pushing yourself to be better. It means looking beyond your immediate team, collaborating across the business and going the extra mile to create better outcomes for customers.

That spirit of togetherness, ambition, and constantly wanting to raise the bar? That's what it's like to work in sales at Sage.

      • Sales Graduate Program

Our two-year Sales Graduate Program gives ambitious university leavers the opportunity to launch their careers in one of the most rewarding and fast-paced professions out there. Designed as a rotational program, graduates can explore different areas of sales, grow their skills, showcase their strengths and discover where their calling lies. It's a golden opportunity for self-discovery, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the industry, with world-class training, including AI upskilling and the space to learn, experiment and build career confidence. By the end of the program, graduates will have developed the future-proof skills, experience and commercial mindset needed to thrive as sales professionals.

      • Inside Sales Representatives

Inside Sales Representatives expand our reach by securing new business through add-on sales, account upgrades, cross-selling, and migration to additional Sage cloud products with existing accounts. Using a value-based selling approach, they treat each sale with the customer’s best interest in mind. They’re responsible for managing their pipeline using customer relationship management tools to ensure accurate records of all activities, dates and sales potential.

      • Sales Development Representatives

Our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) connect directly with potential customers over the phone to help them learn about our software. Using creativity in their approach, they aim to spark interest in our products. They then pass quality leads to our Account Executives to dive deeper with each customer. Often, SDRs are a customer’s first point of contact, so nurturing our reputation through every interaction is an important part of their role.

      • Account Executives

Account Executives enable more people to commit to Sage as their software solution. Applying their robust product and market knowledge, they identify opportunities for how our subscription-based solutions make life easier for small and medium-sized businesses. Working with a mix of existing leads and identifying new ones within their territory, they develop relationships with each customer from the initial meeting through the close of the sale.

      Pros

Collaboration is real here - I love that I can bounce ideas off engineers, designers, and marketing in the same day. It’s not siloed; everyone genuinely wants to build something better together. There’s room to grow and learn - Sage invests in development, so I’ve had opportunities to stretch beyond my comfort zone—whether it’s leading strategic initiatives or diving into AI-driven solutions. The culture feels human - We talk a lot about flexibility and work-life balance, and it’s not just lip service. I can do great work without sacrificing personal priorities.

      Cons

Legacy complexity is real - Sage has a long history, so finding the right team that owns this function can be a needle in a haystack. Global alignment takes effort - syncing across regions and time zones can slow things down. Decision-making can feel layered - With a big organization, there are multiple stakeholders. It’s amazing when alignment happens, but it takes persistence to get there.

      Pros

I've been at Sage for several years and truly love working here. It's not an easy or complacent environment. Expectations are high, goals are ambitious, and the pace can be intense at times. But, that's exactly what makes it such a rewarding place to build a career. Leadership operates with integrity, and there's a real focus on doing the right thing for customers and colleagues. I've grown more here than at any other company because you're constantly challenged to think bigger, deliver more, and evolve as a professional.

      Cons

If you're looking for a comfortable job, this might not be it. But, if you want to be stretched, learn continuously, and be part of a company that's truly transforming, Sage is an incredible place to be.
