We're excited to share Intellis Founder and CEO Steven Warshaw's presentation from the Campus FM Technology Association Conference on what we've learned about Condition Assessment Innovation and Justifiable Capital Plans from working with the New York City School System over the past 20 years. The NYC Public School System is the largest district in the United States, which serves over 1 million students, includes 1700+ school buildings, and has a budget of $16.5 Billion. It has an incredibly diverse set of stakeholders that range from high visibility players such as the New York governor to local level participants such as parents and local representatives. In May, the Intellis team attended the Collision Conference along with a record-breaking 25,000+ attendees with the goal of connecting to the international tech community and to learn about new technologies, innovations in software development, and the power emerging tech like robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning capabilities. A major theme at this year's conference was a discernible call to arms for tech companies to develop products and services that promote social good. There was a notable with the aim for companies to shift energy from solely capital gains towards leveraging their digital skills towards solving the biggest problems that our society faces such as climate change and infrastructure maintenance. On April 22 we celebrated Earth Day! As a New York City-based company, we are champions of cities. The efficiencies that the urban landscape offers are clear: public transportation, tall buildings, walkability. Yet the stress that the built environment puts on the natural world is still a concern. Infrastructure is an environmental issue. The health of our buildings and infrastructure directly impacts the well-being of humans and the environment. Intellis Wins 2018 Stevie Awards for Women in Business Carmen Macias, Director of Project Management, has received a Silver Award for “Female Executive of The Year - Business Products - 11-2,500 Employees” and a Bronze Award for “Woman of The Year - Technology” at the 15th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
