We are pleased to announce the promotion of Corissa Johnson to the position of General Manager! Corissa began her Potbelly journey 15 years ago in Washington DC as an associate. She has worked her way up the Potbelly Path. Corissa is a great example of what one can achieve when you have the passion for what you do. She is dedicated and always smiling showing her Positive Energy. She also enjoys Dazzling customers with her outgoing personality. She is the Mayor at Litwin as she build relationships with the customers and the neighborhood businesses. Her favorite sandwich is the Chicken salad sandwich with bacon- SO YUMMY!!! When not working, Corissa enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Her favorite vacation destination is the Caribbean. Corissa, we look forward to seeing people developed and lives changed through your leadership. Can’t wait to see you take Litwin to the next level. Racism is systemic and pervasive, both historically and today. We recognize our employees of color and the black communities we serve experience injustice and marginalization. Tyreek has been with Potbelly for 7 years and worked his way from being an associate all the way to this most recent achievement of GM. Tyreek demonstrated his commitment to teamwork, accountability, and coaching early on in his tenure with the company and was able to become a dream teamer to help open our Chinatown and Rosslyn shops open. Tyreek was instrumental in creating a foundation in both of these shops with a team of associates that were ready to create Potbelly fans! Tyreek has served as an assistant manager for the past two years and done a tremendous job building and inspiring a new group of managers and associates alike. We want to congratulate Yishrael “IZZY” Russell on his promotion to GM! Izzy started in 2015 as an Associate at Riverside and worked his way through every role! In August of 2019 he took the plunge to start Assistant Manager development. He then went to a shop where there was a need for the role and quickly excelled making necessary changes and assisted the management team. Izzy set a future goal of working towards becoming a GM, but with his ability to pick up on the AM role quickly and hard work, he decided to not lose any momentum with development. He jumped right in to the next level of training and started learning the role of GM. He then got the opportunity to run a shop during a time of need. His progress and work ethic shined through and by the end of 2019 he was officially a GM! He is a perfect example of hard work pays off and you can do anything you set your mind to here at Potbelly! Izzy loves being able to build and inspire his team in this role and leads with lots of positive energy! We look forward to seeing what his future holds and wish him all the success!

Please help us congratulate our newest General Manager, Connor Arteaga! Connor will be taking over the Schaumburg, IL location as the General Manager. Connor has worked in the restaurant industry over 14 years in full service restaurant operations. He decided he wanted a change and decided on the fast casual industry. Connor joined Potbelly in August 2019 and has had fast success. Connor enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and two dogs. His favorite thing about Potbelly is the diverse culture which is very important to him. His favorite Sandwich is the Grilled Chicken and Cheddar with Hot peppers! Welcome Connor to the team!

Hello all! Potbelly is extremely excited to announce that Atanas Sekuloski will be our new GM at shop 77, Washtenaw in Ann Arbor! Atanas started with Potbelly when he was in high school in 2012 at the Novi location, and returned to us as a Shift Leader almost 2 years ago. We are so proud of his focus and determination to get to where he is today! When Atanas isn't making People and Customers really happy at Potbelly, he enjoys spending time with his 2 year old son (he bought him a drum set for his 2nd Birthday- brave!) and listen to music.
