3M made automotive aftermarket products at the Atlanta location. Personally, I did not buy any parts, but did participate in buying items for the house such as filters (Filtrete) (air conditioner filters) and kitchen items such as the dishwashing wand.

They have an employee store, many interesting 3M products available at fair discount, good quality clothing and work accessories with 3M logo.

Some stuff can be purchased in the "2nds" aisle in the employee store, but most products that are sold there can be found for similar or less at big box retailers. The manufacturing plants may have deep discounts on 2nds for product made there, but you have to have a reason to go to a plant out in the middle of nowhere.
