There were no real company perks and the health insurance was terrible it was the main thing that we complained to the union about.

Only hire a few full timers to give out benefits, which suck

It is the highest paying ambulance job in the Sacramento area. The health insurance is average but it is only offered to full-time employees. 401k is an option. Two weeks of annual vacation/PTO is available. You may give away shifts whenever you want as long as you don't exceed the limit.

For PTs you get a shift differential when working different shifts, you can also get 401K as a part time employee.

Full time employees receive a package. I do not believe part timers have benefits. Not a place to stay. Lacking benefits that can be received elsewhere.

After working at other companies, I have found the benefit package at AMR to be much more superior. It costs a little more but was well worth the money.

Very difficult to follow compensation package involving an average instead of hourly rate for most employees. This makes working overtime seem "not worth it" as the more you work, the lower your hourly rate goes.

I have the lowest offered benefits package, because that's all I can afford, because I don't get paid much here. I pay for literally everything out of pocket. The deductible is high enough that even with having several doctors visits and a new treatment plan for my diagnoses, I can't reach my deductible. Dental is a discount program that is limited to Aspen Dental. Other coworkers I've asked about the "better" packages have told me they still got on their spouses plans who work for other companies.
