You can buy into share plans. I am currently on a 3-year share plan where you can buy shares at a 20% discount. It is taken directly from your pay and you can choose how much you want to contribute towards it.

Complicated. It works like a savings scheme. Bit once you read the small print and do your sums you realise you've put away money with Asda for a while but gained no interest on it, and that is before you actually get any shares.
Doesn't seem worth it. Looks like a scheme to just get back some of your hard earned washes to top up their bank account.
