We once had a fair and robust work from home policy. People were happy and production exceeded all expectations. All of that changed a few years ago. The executive level pulled everyone into the office for "collaboration"...a stupid stupid reason. Most of us who telecommuted full time were in offices with very few people. Now we go in and see no one. We talk to no one. The offices are old and filthy. It is demoralizing.

very difficult to get permission to do so. most upper management does this full time when they discourage it for all below them. upper management also often times never set themselves up appropriately in the internal system as working from home, but require those below them to do so and put tight restrictions on them as well. but overall the technology and ease of working from home is great. program needs some improvement starting with removing of politics.
