Abbott provides sick pay and medical leave compensation for eligible employees who are unable to work due to illness, injury, or pregnancy. Abbott employees may also use a portion of their sick pay benefit to care for a sick child. When sick pay benefits have been exhausted, employees may also take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave in a 12-month period through the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993.

Only 6 sick days per year, no wonder Europe and other countries are better places to live for employees. This is not a kind and gentle place to work with virtually zero life-work balance.

Not usually an issue. Management generally ignores time off for minor illnesses.

Same as most companies - need to use Ca sick days before the others.
