I was told employees get 5% off items and 10% off of store brand items but the computers only ever took off 5% being store brand or not. And the cashiers couldn't do anything about it. Management said they'd fix it but never did. I think employees should get a bigger discount all together. We cash our checks and turn around and buy food and necessities for our family's from the company we shed tears, sweat, and bleed for. Cut employees a break and show appreciation.

The best part about the discount is that they actually give one to their associates, and sometimes even double it around special occasions. They also provide free monthly items to their employees, limit 1 per household.
The worst part is beyond their control, which is that by law there are a number of items which cannot be discounted, including but not limited to: alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, dairy products, etc.

it is almost redundant since it is only a small percentage. but it can be very helpful when making large purchases

Well if it are own brands you get more of a discount I believe it's 10% but if it's anything else it's only 5%.

Small discount. Offers a little more for their store brands but not really enough to make a difference.
