Bereavement Leave

Bereavement leave at Amazon is boiler plate. The standard of every other company. You're paid 2 or 3 days and I believe can take more unpaid.

Two days paid 3 unpaid not much time at all. And if you are a mess like most when a loss occurs they won’t allow you to operate. Some people in HR are helpful and excuse you at their discretion and others will make you go negative on your time which is termination because “ you can’t possibly hit rate or be safe in this condition”

you get a paid week off to arrange what needs to be done. it is a waiver. you get unlimited amount of these. but you need proof that someone in your immediate family died.

Issues you days of paid leave for on this benefit

You get 3 PTO days given for family members, and I think 5 PTO days given if you have to travel out of town.
