While you have it, the policies are so complicated that everyone is always questioning whether or not they can use it--since paid time off is split into annual leave and sick leave. They say they give you more that way, but I'm rarely sick, so I'm just out that time if it had all been paid time off. There's no pay-out value with sick leave if you terminate either, which many people don't realize until they leave.
