401K Plan

American Express matches 401K contributions up to 6% for employees in the United States. It is a valuable benefit to take advantage of for those interested .

Really good company match, worst is it was distributed every 6 months.

It was pretty good. I cannot complain about it.

6% matching (change it from the default 3% contribution) Traditional, roth, and limited amounts of after-tax contributions can be made. In-plan conversions are allowed. I leave the implications as an exercise to the reader. Target date funds are active and a little expensive. Cheap Vanguard index funds are available, no index TDF though so they are more “hands on”.
