Dental Insurance

American Family offers two dental options administered by Delta Dental. All full-time and some part-time employees are immediately eligible to enroll in a dental plan. Like medical, you can enroll yourself and your dependents – a spouse, domestic partner and/or child(ren).

The first option is our Standard Plan which provides coverage up to $1,000 per year for each insured to cover such services as preventive, restorative, and surgical procedures. For a full-time employee (at least 30 hours per week), we pay 90 percent of your premium and share equally in the cost of your dependent coverage. For a part-time employee (25-30 hours per week), we pay 65 percent of your premium and 30 percent of your dependent premium.

The second option is our Extra Plan, which provides coverage up to $1,500, including orthodontics. We pay the same dollar amount towards your premiums as we do for the Standard Plan. You are responsible for the remaining premium.
