It has a company match, but a portion of the match requires employment through the end of the calendar year.

Match pretty weak. Now have to invest in Aon funds, so Aon profits from your investments.

I loved the company match, but the loan and hardship withdrawal process was like pulling teeth with rusty pliers.

No insight as to who is managing funds and choices of investments are poor as they instead want to push everyone into having fund managers do the investing. Company is also stopping people from investing in stock at the end of this month and at the end of this year is divesting investors from the stock program (so they are basically recalling their shares from employees). The company stock has been the best performer of all the choices to pick from in the portfolio.
