Back when I joined Apple the recruiter really talked up numerous benefits, one of which was the education assistance. Prior employers had let me use similar programs to attend technical conferences or short privately run technical training courses. However, Apple's "tuition assistance" program is just that -- for tuition at traditional colleges. To me this is not nearly as interesting, as in the tech world most cutting edge stuff is discussed at conferences & private training, not college classes. Thus I haven't been able to put this benefit to use. Although its still nice that they offer it for those who could make use of it.

Great plan and a good investment in the employees future. Found it quite satisfying.
