It's cheap, you get 50% off if the amount is under 10$ and if it is over then you just get 5$ comped off the whole purchase. They don't want to lose money and they will do the cheapest thing possible.

They do give you a discount on food and if u train or work a double shift sometimes u get a free meal under $10

The best is sometimes a manager will see you worked a really hard or long day and will give you a free meal, but for the most part you're just stuck with the either half off or 5 dollars off which is just okay. I assume this is a standard in the industry though.
