The dental insurance is through Delta Dental and has a $1500 per year maximum, which often excludes the kinds of major procedures that are why the employee needs the dental coverage in the first place. In the years that I have been with the firm, there has been no adjustment of the maximum, which means coverage has eroded over that time as dental procedures have inflated but maximums and coverages have not.

I was pleasantly surprised by the dental insurance when my son had to have an exam. Instead of being out-of-pocket, I didn't have to pay anything.
