Boeing will automatically contribute 3% of your base salary towards your 401k, regardless of your contribution percentage. ADDITIONALLY, Boeing will contribute another 6-8% depending upon your age and how much you contribute. For example, I'm in my early twenties and I contribute 8% on my own and Boeing provides 9% for a total of 17% going towards my 401k. There are plenty of fund options as well such as all typical Lifetime retirement funds, S&P 500, Russell 2000, International Funds, Bonds, and even more I can't remember off the top of my head. (7) Annual raises & Bonuses: There are annual performance based raises and bonuses for all employees. The raises are generally between 2-6%. The company has been doing really well before the 737 MAX incidents, which bonuses were ~9% for non-management employees. Management receives larger bonuses, but I'm not sure how it's calculated outside of Boeing's annual performance. (8) Extended Work Week (Overtime): Boeing just recently allowed paid overtime past 40 hours for engineering positions. Before, engineers basically had to work at least 4-8 hours free before obtaining pay/compensation past the 40 hour week. Now, Boeing will pay your base hourly rate + $6.50 for each hour past the 40 hour work week (assuming you work a MINIMUM of 4 hours each week) For example, if I worked 42 hours for one week, I wouldn't be compensated for the extra two hours versus working 44 hours for one week. Our pay periods are 80 hours (two weeks), so one can flex their schedule around to meet this requirement.
