You got four dollars for food either 30 minutes before you worked, when you went on break, or 30 minutes after you worked. It's not much but at least you got a free drink separate from that four dollars.

You are only allowed to get a discount on your meal if you are working that day. You are allowed to get your meal 30 minuets before or after work or on an unpaid break.
