Bose has a good work culture, if you are sick, then take the day off. Sick days are separate from vacation days.

Pretty good, really. 'If you aren't feeling well, don't share with everyone else,' was the concept. Usual occurrence system, but completely reasonable. You accrued sick time per hours worked, and all I needed to do was email my contract manager to request application to my check.

The company has good vacation, and offers a few additional paid sick days (maybe 2 or 3). They also offer "personal leave" at your manager's discretion, which can be paid or unpaid. Most managers are understanding about extenuating circumstances. Also, you can go spend 2 hours on a workday at a doctor's office usually without much hassle (for full-time exempt employees).
