Income protection should you incur a short- or long-term disability and are unable to work.
• Short-term disability benefits are payable after 7 days of disability, if approved, and equal 60
percent of weekly earnings up to $2,000 a week. Benefit payments are tax free. You pay the full
cost of this coverage.
• Should your disability continue beyond 90 days, you may be eligible to receive LTD benefits equal
to 60 percent of monthly base salary up to a maximum of $10,000 per month. CDM Smith pays
the full cost of this coverage.
• If your annual base salary is $75,000 or more, you may purchase supplemental disability coverage
from Unum in addition to your company-paid benefits.
